Long-Lasting-Cool

Dope or Nope? Hot or Not? Trend or Trash? Modern life is all about style and self-expression. But who defines “cool”? Are there timeless objects in our fast world of commerce? The Canadian journalist Dave LeBlanc goes into these matters and has identified roller skating as pretty long-lasting-cool in the latest episode of his web series Where Cool Came From.

For this he visited Chicago and looked at Style Skating und the unique Chicago JB Style in the Rich City Skate roller rink. The saying goes Canadians are born with ice skates on the feet, but this was not sufficiently for roller skating. So Dave didn’t laced the skates when meeting derby girls. Nevertheless he thinks that this sports on skates is also very cool.
